Day 1;
Kigali – Akagera NP | Boat Cruise Safari
Leave Kigali and start your journey to the Akagera National Park. You will on arrival go for a boat trip on Lkae Ihema, thereafter return to the lodge and check in. while on the lodge, you will feel the sounds of jungle since the lodge is in the middle of the bush and overlooking lake Ihema. Overnight at Akagera Game Lodge or similar.
Day 2;
Game Drive safari, Akagera NP transfer Volcanoes NP.
After an early morning breakfast, you go for the whole day game drive experience, getting upclose to wildlife in Akagea National Park, you will exit the park at Nothern Nyungwe gate & proceed to Volcanoes National Park through Byumba. During the game drive to the north of the park, you will go through different topography but most interesting part of it is the Crocodile Swimming Pool & the kilala valley with large concentration of wildlife as you get nearly to the Nyugwe exit gate. Overnight at Mountain Gorilla avowed lodge or similar
Day 3;
Rwanda Gorilla Trekking, Volcanoes NP
Early morning breakfast will be followed by a transfer to Kinigi park headquarters for trekking briefing and then hike up into the rainforest to a troop of magnificent mountain gorillas. Each troop has its own 24 hour guard, so their location is known, you usually have an hour with them, time to sit and observe them at very close quarters indeed. After the day experience return back to the Lodge. Overnight at Mountain Gorilla avowed lodge or similar
Day 4;
Golden Monkey Trekking, Volcanoes NP - Kigali.
After an early morning breakfast transfer to the park headquarters at Kinigi to go for golden monkey tracking. These primates are beautiful, endangered & more agile than the mountain gorillas. They live in bamboo thickets on the lower slopes of the mountains – and tracking them acclimatises you perfectly to the slight altitude, marking your last views of the park's environs, and this will be followed by a transfer to back to Kigali Marking the end of the 4 Day Rwanda Wildlife & Gorilla Trekking Trip. End.
