The Red Sand Dune, also known as Al Ramal or Al Hasany in Arabic, is one of the most famous dunes in the Wadi Rum desert. It's striking red colour comes from a high concentration of iron oxide in the sand particles. Challenging to climb but at the top you can enjoy amazing panoramic views of the valley. This area is known as key filming location
