DAY 1: ARRIVE PHNOM PENH
On arrival into Phnom Penh, you will be greeted by your private guide and transferred directly to your hotel for check in.

DAY 2: PHNOM PENH CITY TOUR & KILLING FIELDS
This morning, exploring the highlights of this truly fascinating city, including the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National Museum and the Wat Phnom temple. After lunch, head to the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum where our guide will explain the history of the Khmer Rouge. We then continue on to the Choeung Ek Memorial, the site of one of the country’s many killing fields.

DAY 3: PHNOM PENH TO BATTAMBANG
This morning, travel by road from Phnom Penh to Battambang. En-route visit Udong, capital of the Khmer kingdom between 1618 and 1866. Journey continues to the busy riverside town of Kompong Chhnang where you stop to see the silversmith village and the pottery village.

There will be a stop for a local lunch at the port town of Pursat. Arrive in Battambang late this afternoon.

Stay 2 nights at the Maisons Wat Kor (Lotus Room)

DAY 4: BATTAMBANG
Morning, visit Wat Slaket Pagoda. Visit Khmer Ancient House. Visit Wat Ek Phnom. Visit the Provincial Museum. You’ll also visit Wat Banan temple. Next, you’ll drive a short distance out of town to the Bamboo Train “station”.

This afternoon continues to Phnom Sampeau, a sacred mountain dotted with interesting pagodas and stupas. Finish the tour with the dramatic spectacle of thousands of bats leaving one of the caves in streaming dark clouds as dusk descends.

DAY 5: TO SIEM REAP VIA BANTEAY CHHMAR
This morning, venture beyond Angkor, the incredible jungle temple of Banteay Chhmar, famous for its signature faces of Jayavarman VII, see the magnificent carvings of Lokesvara with 32 arms. There’ll be plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere of this enchanting place, after which we’ll then enjoy lunch with a local family. This afternoon we drive the scenic route on to Siem Reap.

Stay 3 nights at the Golden Temple Hotel (Deluxe Room)

DAY 6: THE WONDERS OF ANGKOR TEMPLES SUNRISE TO SUNSET
Wake up early and head to Angkor Wat for sunrise and a morning tour of the temple before the crowds arrive. Mid-morning head back to your hotel for breakfast before relaxing. In the early afternoon head back out to the temples and see the marvellous city of Angkor Thom and Bayon. Explore Banteay Kdei and Ta Prohm.

DAY 7: BENG MEALEA & BANTEAY SREI
Leaving the crowds behind you will head to Beng Mealea, one of Angkor's more mysterious temples located 40km outside of the main temple complex. From here continue on to Banteay Srei, an intricately carved temple known as the Lady Temple, and have lunch at a nearby local restaurant.
