What you can expect

Your guide Francis Higgins is former college lecturer on Irish History and now an author on the rich culture and history of Belfast and Beyond. Married with two children and two grandchildren I am a recognised expert on the Troubles and world famous murals. My tours are rated 5 star experiences and you will see all the best sights as well as places and stories that no other guides will know. I am now a consultant to international cruise ship companies creating their Belfast and Northern Ireland tour itineraries and am the Education Officer for Tour Guides in Northern Ireland and a consultant with local government and colleges on tourism. On this 5 star rated tour you will discover first hand the real and terrible storey of the conflict and visit the sights of the troubles that made worldwide news. Once a soldier who served in Belfast I was a part of the Peace Process that has led to the success storey that is Belfast today. You will also visit the murals and learn of their meaning and also how they are also part of the ongoing writing of Irish History. You will discover my family history from being blown up and almost murdered three times I now have two grandsons from both sides of the religious and political divide. My storey is unique and you can follow up on this experience by reading one of my books on the subject.
