Meet at 09:00 am at the dive centre in Marseille's Port de la Pointe Rouge. Get kitted out with your diving suit and select a mask, fins and snorkel for your activity.
At 09:45, board a large inflatable boat for a 20 to 30-minute ride to the snorkelling and scuba diving site. Get a briefing about safety and other information you will need. Hear about any security concerns and get explanations about the marine life you may see.
Then, enjoy a 30 to 60 minute snorkel on your own in a secure area close to one of the island's of Calanques National Park. Discover the aquatic world of Marseille from the surface at your leisure. Now that you are comfortable in the water, take a guided scuba dive with a personal instructor. Dive to a maximum of 18 feet to encounter rock fish, zebra bream, cow bream, striped mullet, rainbow wrasse, sea stars and other creatures of the sea, depending on the conditions of the day.
At around 16:00 or 17:00, journey back to the dive centre to rinse your diving gear and have a shower before you collect your Discover Scuba certificate!
