Pack your backpack and embark on an adventurous trek to discover the Sartorius Mountains and Mount Etna. Follow alongside your guide on a 4-kilometer route with both geographical and botanical highlights.
Start your adventure at the beginning of the trekking route, then follow the path that winds in a ring starting from the forestry barrier located at an altitude of 1,660 metres above sea level for about 4 kilometres.
Take in the surrounding landscape of the Sartorius Mountains and encounter clearings rich in endemic species, including grasses, fragrant bushes, colourful flowers, and more. Spot volcanic bombs (masses of molten rock) and woodland formations dominated by birch trees.
Continuing along the path, admire the Monte Frumento delle Concazze, which sits at 2,151 metres above sea level and represents one of the largest adventitious cones on Etna. Finish the trek back at the starting point.
