What you can expect

Meet your guide to begin the tour. Explore the Cebu Farmers market and learn about the local food with your guide. Follow your guide around the city to learn about its fascinating history, which is the oldest city in the Philippines, and which was also the first Spanish settlement and capital.

Sample some amazing Filipino street food, which is famous for its bold flavours and combinations. Taste balut, a boiled duck egg which is traditionally eaten with salt. Check out some interesting historical sites along the way. See the metal sculptures at the Heritage of Cebu Monument.

Afterwards, go to Yap Sandiego Ancestral House, which was built from coral stone in 1680. Admire the Chinese and Spanish architecture of this building, then continue to Basilica Minore del Sto. Nino de Cebu. See the oldest Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines, built in the year 1565.

Following this, arrive at Carbon Market, which gets its name from the Spanish word for coal. See this former coal depot, and head to Magellan's Cross, where a Christian cross was placed by explorers led by Ferdinand Magellan in 1521. Walk to Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral after this.

Observe this church that was destroyed during the Second World War and rebuilt in the 1950s. Enjoy some street food during the tour as well. Finally, end the tour and head back to your accommodation.
