Overview

The Mayan Ruins of Chacchoben are the most popular and visited attraction to spend a great day on the Costa Maya. It is approximately 55 minutes by car from the Port of Costa Maya. This site is located a few kilometres from the town of Chacchoben from which its name is derived. The translation of the Mayan word “Chacchoben” refers to “The Place of Red Corn.” The structures at this site are characterised by large temples and enormous platforms dating back to 700 AD. c.

Upon arrival at the port of Costa Maya, after you disembark your cruise ship you will have to go to the port car park, there we have transport with our logo and one of our drivers can take you directly to our office where we will do your check in where you will wait about 15 minutes before leaving for your excursion and you can enjoy a complimentary drink, and then leave for your first stop at the Chacchoben Archaeological Zone, which will take approximately 55 minutes to arrive.
