Located in the secluded residential area (LORONGBURMA) of Penang Island, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha is a religious tourist attraction that Malaysian Buddhists must come to worship. The temple enshrines the world's third largest indoor reclining Buddha. The total length of the reclining Buddha is 33 metres. Lying peacefully in the main hall of the temple, the reclining Buddha is wearing a golden cassock, lying on the right side, feet to the right, and his face kindly looks at the tourists who enter the hall. Other Buddha statues and eighteen Arhat statues are also enshrined around the reclining Buddha, and some statues of Thai monks are covered with gold foil.
Dharmikarama Burmese Temple

Since the early 19th century, there had been a Burmese settlement in Pulau Tikus.[1] On 1 August 1803, a small temple named "Nandy Moloh Temple" was erected in the area by the Burmese community from a land donated by Nyonya Betong after she purchased a land for $390 (Spanish dollar) from George Layton.[1][2][3][4] The first abbot for the temple was U. Nandamala.[1] Since its early times, women devotees have been the mainstay of the temple with four female trustees;[2] Nyonya Betong, Nyonya Meerut, Nyonya Koloh and Nyonya Bulan.[1] As the Burmese community grows, they later appealed to Queen Victoria for additional lands to extend the temple size as well for the burial grounds of the elders

Chew Jetty Penang is located at Weld Quay, George Town, Penang and is 21 kilometres away from Lexis Suites Penang. It is the biggest of the waterfront settlements in Georgetown and was part of the Clan Jetties Penang settling at the southern section of Weld Quay. The wooden piers built by the Chinese were divided between the different surname-based clans such as “Lim”, “Tan”, “Lee”, “Yeoh” and finally “Chew”, which was the most famous of all. Chew Jetty has also become one of the focal points of the Chinese New Year celebrations in Penang in recent years.
