What you can expect

Step into the vibrant world of Holi, India’s most colourful and joyous festival! Starting from our meeting point at 10:00 AM, this experience takes you into the heart of Holi celebrations, where you will not only play with colours but also indulge in festive delicacies, learn fascinating stories, and immerse yourself in a truly local and cultural experience.
Holi is not just about colours—it’s a festival deeply rooted in Indian mythology and traditions, symbolising the triumph of good over evil, the arrival of spring, and the celebration of love and unity. Different parts of India celebrate Holi in unique ways, and we will share some of these fascinating stories.
Once the celebration begins, dive into the vibrant colours of Holi! We use only dry colours and fresh flower petals, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. Holi is a time when people forget all differences and celebrate with pure joy, laughter, and togetherness.
Holi is as much about food as it is about colours! During the festival, special Indian snacks and sweets are prepared to add more flavour to the celebrations. Enjoy:
Get hands-on experience in an Indian home kitchen, where you will learn to prepare a couple of vegetarian dishes, including freshly made Indian bread like roti or puri. Cooking is an essential part of Holi celebrations, and you’ll love being part of it!
One of the most special aspects of this experience is the feeling of home and togetherness. Celebrate Holi with a local family, learn about their traditions, and enjoy meaningful conversations while sharing food and laughter.
After a day filled with colours, music, food, and culture, you’ll leave after evening tea and snacks, carrying unforgettable memories, vibrant photos, and the warmth of an authentic Indian Holi celebration.
What to Wear?
Holi is a vibrant and joyous festival, but it can also get quite messy with colours, water, and playful splashes! To ensure a comfortable and hassle-free experience, here’s what we recommend:
• Wear Comfortable, Worn-Out Clothes for the First Part of Holi: Since you’ll be playing with colours, it’s best to wear old clothes that you won’t mind getting stained. If you don’t have old clothes, opt for dark-colored outfits like blue or black, as they absorb colours better.
• In India, many people prefer wearing white so that the bright colours stand out beautifully on their clothes. However, if you choose white, remember that wet colours can sometimes make light fabrics slightly transparent, so female guests should avoid see-through materials for comfort.
• Carry a Change of Clothes: After playing Holi, you’ll want to freshen up. Bring a spare set of clean and dry clothes to change into before enjoying the rest of the celebration.
• Buying Affordable Clothing for Holi: If you don’t want to risk staining your personal clothes, you can also buy inexpensive clothes locally just for the celebration.
By dressing appropriately, you can fully immerse yourself in the festival without any worries.
