Located on the banks of Dubai Creek in the most prominent historical area of Al Shindagha, the Museum is a beacon of Emirati heritage, connecting the rich past to the future and revealing contemporary Emirati identity.

The museum consists of 21 houses, featuring innovative multi-sensory interactive installations beautifully woven throughout. Al Shindagha Museum is home to 21 unique exhibit Houses, including the Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum Residence, originally home of the Al Maktoum Family and the Dubai monarch at the time until 1958, Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum, the grandfather of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid.
