The Accademia Gallery is the ideal place in the city to discover not only the most famous work of art by Michelangelo, the David, but also other masterpieces of this great Florentine artist: the four Prisons, San Matteo and Palestrina’s Pietà. Given the relative narrowness of the museum’s spaces and the large turnout, long lines of tourists waiting to enter, outside, are a daily occurrence.
