What you can expect

Discover Northern Iceland on this guided tour with transport between attractions. Stop off at all of the area’s must-see natural landmarks, including the Eyjafjordur fjord, the Godafoss waterfall, and Mount Námafjall. Then, take a dip in the Myvatn Nature Bath geothermal lagoon. Enjoy transport from your hotel in Akureyri to the tour’s first location, the Godafoss waterfall, known locally as ‘The Waterfall of the Gods’. On the way, you’ll drive along Eyjafjordur, Iceland’s longest fjord. Next, explore the geological feats in the Lake Myvatn area, including Skútustaðagígar, a field of pseudocraters formed by lava flow, the Hverir mud pools, and Grjótagjá, an ancient lava cave. You’ll also see Höfði, the site of iconic filming locations including Game of Thrones and Star Wars. At your next stop, take the opportunity to visit the Myvatn Nature Baths. Unwind in the milky blue waters of the geothermal lagoon, and enjoy a drink at the adjoining Kvika Restaurant. The tour will end with transport back to Akureyri.
