Itinerary

At the appointed time we will meet at the pier in Iquitos and begin this tour through the area of Belen, on the banks of the Itaya River. For this, we will board a typical boat, the best way to visit the so-called Amazonian Venice.

First, we will go to the Belen market, a perfect place to learn about the gastronomic customs and the daily life of the inhabitants of this area of Iquitos. As we sail, we will pass by the humble wooden houses built on pillars along the river, which will surprise you!

In addition, we will learn a lot of peculiarities of Belen, which is flooded by the waters of the river when it rises in certain months of the year. We will see how the inhabitants use boats and canoes to move around and transport food and materials.
