What you can expect
Begin day one by making a scenic drive from Perth to the charming seaside towns. First stop is Mandurah, where you’ll have a chance to stretch your legs or grab a coffee by the foreshore (at own expense). Then it’s on to Bunbury where you’ll visit the Featured Wood Gallery, before continuing onto Busselton, where you'll stop for lunch.
Following lunch, take a leisurely walk along the famous Busselton Jetty, the longest timber jetty in the southern hemisphere stretching 1.1 miles (1.8 km) out into the picturesque Geographe Bay. From the jetty we continue south towards Margaret River and everyone’s favourite, the Margaret River Chocolate Company.
Next, head to the McLeod family farm to see their horses & Western Grey Kangaroos in their natural environment. After a full day touring settle into your accommodation for the evening. (evening meal at own expense)
On day 2, Enjoy breakfast at The White Elephant café by the beach. The tour goes underground at the spectacular Mammoth Cave, one of just a few caves in the south west which contains fossils of Megafauna.
A scenic drive through the majestic Boranup Forest will leave you in awe of the beautiful Karri trees. Discover the different flavours of Jarrah, Karri & Marri honey in the forest.
Then pass through Augusta, before arriving at the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. Take a guided tour and spot the point where the Southern and Indian oceans meet. You may be lucky enough to spot whales out in the distance.
Stop for lunch and at the Colour Patch restaurant with stunning views of the Blackwood River. On our return trip, enjoy wine tasting at an award-winning winery. You’ll then have some free time in town to stroll along the high street and pick up a special memento or gift to take home.
Return to your accommodation at around 5:00 PM to relax after a busy day and dine at your leisure. (evening meal at own expense)
After breakfast on day 3, visit Yahava Koffee Works and indulge in a tasting while hearing from the experts. The tour then visits two boutique vineyards showcasing Margaret River's renowned wines. At the second winery we enjoy cheese & crackers to a-company the wine tasting.
All that wine tasting can build up an appetite, we sit down for a gourmet lunch at local favourite Olio Bello. Whilst here for lunch, its a great opportunity to sample their extensive range of extra virgin olive oils, balsamic's, relishes and produce.
After lunch, we depart for Perth, usually arriving by approximately 6:00PM.
