We depart from the glamorous village of Santa Margherita Ligure where we board our sailboat. The skipper begins to explain to us what techniques are involved in mastering the boat. We sail to Punta Chiappa, where we have the opportunity to swim in the clear waters of the Ligurian Sea, which are particularly clear in this stretch of coastline. We continue following the main winds, with our captain teaching us how to manage the control of the sailboat in the open sea. We reach Camogli late in the morning; after visiting this ancient and tiny fishing village we can stop for a well-deserved lunch.
In the afternoon we sail to the bay of San Fruttuoso, where there is the famous statue of Christ of the Abyss, located at a depth of 17 metres. On the way back we sail to Portofino, where from the sea we can see first the dramatic, rocky cliffs, the beautiful houses and the village's tiny harbour, after which we return to Santa Margherita Ligure.
