Pay tribute to those killed and kidnapped at the Supernova Festival in southern Israel, and the horrors that also played out at nearby Kibbutz Reim on October 7th 2023. Your private driver will take you to the site, guide you through the security checkpoints and allow you to visit the sites as you wish.
In the dawn hours of October 7, 2023 thousands of young people were partying at this open-air celebration of music and unity. Then Hamas gunmen swept in and turned it into the deadliest concert attack in history and the most deadly attack on the Jewish population since the Holocaust, with 360 lives lost and 234 hostages taken.
A memorial was held at the site by a group of DJ’s in November 2023. DJ Asher Swissa said “It’s a massacre of music, of freedom, of something much bigger than us.”
The site has developed as a memorial, with photos of the faces of those killed and the hostages still held by Hamas hung up on wooden posts. There are still a few mangled beach chairs and broken coolers to remember. See the special planting of 200 trees in the car park area, hoping to bring new life to the site.
After visiting the Supernova site, you will then be given the option to visit Kibbutz Re’im, only 5 kilometres away. Here you can pay tribute to the families of the 364 people who were shot, beaten to death, or burned to death and sexually assaulted at Kibbutz Re'im.
