We will begin this excursion leaving from Valencia where we will pick you up at the agreed place. After a short journey of approx. In 1 hour and 30 minutes we will be able to enjoy this beautiful place, a place where we will dedicate enough time to explore it and enjoy it to the fullest.
The old, walled town of Peñíscola is located on a rocky peninsula, originally connected to the land only by a sand isthmus (now urbanised).
Upon arriving there we will begin our visit to the Museum of the Sea and continue through the old town contemplating the imposing Renaissance wall from the time of Philip II.
We will take a tour through narrow and attractive streets, full of shops selling typical products of the area, passing by the famous Casa de las Conchas where we will tell you how this beautiful façade was decorated.
We will visit the interior of the Castle to discover the history of Pope Luna, an important protagonist of the Western Schism that divided the Catholic Church in the early Middle Ages. We will learn secrets, extraordinary legends and from the top of this medieval fortress we will enjoy excellent views of the Mediterranean; ideal place for your photos.
After visiting the castle, we will continue the walk along the beach and coastal area of Peñíscola and you will enjoy free time to delight in the gastronomy of the area and finish our excursion with the return to Valencia.
