What you can expect
Day 1: Arrival and Tumpak Sewu Waterfall Exploration
Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from Yogykarta, or other agreed points. After a scenic drive through the East Java countryside, you'll arrive at one of Indonesia's most breathtaking natural wonders, the Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. Known as the “Thousand Waterfalls,” Tumpak Sewu is a vast cascade nestled within a lush valley, offering a stunning panoramic view from above and an exhilarating hike down to the base of the waterfall. The journey down involves trekking through lush forests, crossing streams, and navigating steep, rocky paths. Once at the bottom, you'll feel the cooling mist and witness the powerful flow of water crashing into the river below.
After a day of adventure and taking in the beauty of the waterfall, you’ll enjoy a relaxing evening in a local accommodation nearby, where you can rest and prepare for the next day’s early start.
Day 2: Bromo Sunrise and Exploration
Rise before dawn for the iconic Mount Bromo sunrise experience. You’ll embark on a 4x4 jeep ride through the Sea of Sand to reach the Bromo viewpoint on Mount Penanjakan. As the sky begins to lighten, you’ll witness one of the most unforgettable sunrises, with the sun slowly illuminating the volcanic landscape, revealing the stunning Mount Bromo, Mount Batok, and the towering Mount Semeru in the distance.
After sunrise, the adventure continues with a visit to the Bromo Crater. Hike up the steps leading to the edge of the crater and peer into the steaming caldera of this active volcano. The surrounding landscape feels otherworldly, with the vast, sandy plains and the dramatic silhouette of Mount Bromo.
Following your Bromo exploration, you’ll head back to your accommodation for breakfast and a brief rest before embarking on the next leg of your journey.
Day 3: Ijen Crater and Blue Flame Phenomenon
Another early start takes you on a drive towards the Ijen Plateau, where you’ll prepare for an overnight hike to witness the famous Ijen Blue Flame. Starting around midnight, you’ll begin your trek up Mount Ijen, ascending through volcanic landscapes under the stars.
As the night transitions into dawn, the blue flames give way to another stunning sight – Ijen's turquoise crater lake, the largest acidic lake in the world.
NOTE : THE IJEN BLUE FIRE IS NOT AVALIABLE UNTIL FUTHER INFORMATION
Day 4: Drop-off at Ketapang Harbour
On the final day, you’ll enjoy a leisurely morning before setting off for Ketapang Harbour, the gateway to Bali.
