This tour option will finish with lunch on the local farm, which is included, and after that, you'll be heading back to Reggio Emilia. This tour option doesn't include the visit to the castle or any walks mentioned in the afternoon tour option.
Bismantova hike
Pietra di Bismantova is a megalithic rock from the Ice Age. It offers a stunning 360-degree view of the Apennines and valleys. Wear enclosed shoes with a good grip and follow your guide for safety. It's a 45 minutes walk to the top, mostly flat.
Canossa Castle
Explore Matilde di Canossa's life, a remarkable female leader from the Middle Ages. Visit her ancestral castle, built on sandstone, which provides a breathtaking view of the valleys.
Hike on the Golden Path
Enjoy a scenic 5 km hike with stunning views of Secchia Valley and Cusna Peak, which stands at 2100 metres. The hike is of medium-high difficulty, so it is recommended to wear enclosed shoes with a good grip.
