Spend a day in beautiful Buzios—the beach-fringed peninsula made famous by Brigitte Bardot. Wander the cobbled streets, lounge on the sand, and soak up the charming atmosphere of “the Saint-Tropez of Brazil.”

After being picked up from your hotel, ride out to the fishing village of Armaçao dos Búzios about 2.5 hours away, where your knowledgeable guide gives you a brief introduction to the peninsula’s towns and beaches, and then sets you loose to explore on your own or board the schooner to start the optional cruise.

If you opted out of the cruise, head out to the Portuguese colonial area of Ossos on the tip of the peninsula and scope out the resorts of Manguinhos. Window shop, stop to sip a caipirinha on bustling “Rua das Pedras”, and be sure to stroll the beachfront promenade of Orla Bardot. Choose any of the more than 20 beaches that range from lively to secluded, and relax with your toes in the sand before your return trip to Rio.

If you choose the optional cruise, enjoy the Buzios coastline from a different perspective and on a different way. Behold beaches like Azeda and Azedinha, João Fernandes and João Fernandinho, Ilha Feia or Tartaruga Beach. Enjoy swimming at the stops and have a great time with cheerful boat staff. Drinks like caipirinha and food are available for purchasing. Water is included and free.

After the boat ride, visitors will meet for the lunch at one of the best restaurants in Buzios with an evaluation of 4.5/5 stars. The lunch buffet (all you can eat) has several options. Drinks and dessert are not included. After lunch time, visitors will go to the meeting point at the Santos Dummont square at the time scheduled with the tour guide.

At the end of the day, visitors are returned to their hotels in Rio.
