What you can expect

After being picked up from your hotel,
you'll visit the Lunuganga Estate, the country home of the renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa, located in Bentota.

After being picked up you'll embark on a Mangrove boat safari along the Madu Ganga. As you explore the serene Madu River, you'll observe the lush mangrove forests and marshlands that surround it. A stop will be made at a cinnamon garden, where you can sample some of the world-renowned cinnamon produced in this region. The Madu Ganga area is home to a thriving cinnamon industry, known for its exceptional quality.

Next, you'll marvel at the sight of local fishermen perched stoically atop branches planted in the water, patiently awaiting their catch. Following this, you'll proceed to a local Turtle Hatchery, where your guide will introduce you to the various species of turtles native to the area.

Afterwards, The tour will conclude with a visit to the Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This historic fort showcases the unique blend of European architecture and South Asian traditions from the 16th to 19th centuries. After exploring the fort, you will be returned to your hotel in Colombo.
