Berlin, the capital of Germany, was the centre of 2 world wars and the Cold War. Before the big wars and the erection of the wall, Berlin was a vanguard of enlightenment and tolerance. After many years Berlin has reemerged again as a world hub of culture, freedom, and creativity.
Take a walk near the German Parliament and in the newly restored historical centre. Visit the Brandenburg gate where the Berlin wall fell and Germany was officially united. Walk through Second World War sites like the holocaust memorial, Hitler bunkers, and the Nazi quarter, as well as the most important location of the cold war, Checkpoint Charley.
The tour ends in the most beautiful classically restored square of the city, Gendarmenmarkt, not before a hopping in Rausch Schokoladenhaus seeing the attractions of the tour shaped from chocolate.
