What you can expect

Discover the Venetian art of glassblowing and go behind the scenes to learn the secrets and traditions employed by expert Murano glassblowers. Watch as they create artisan-crafted pieces, ranging from small trinkets to huge chandeliers and lamps.

Visit a real glassware showroom near St. Mark’s Square and hear the storey of this ancient art that dates back to the Roman Empire. The storey takes you back to the 13th century when the Republic of Venice decided to move all glassmaking furnaces to the nearby island of Murano to protect the city's mainly wooden structures from fires. The craftsmen improved their techniques and began trading with the East, building an important cultural interchange and making Venice famous around the world.

See a master glassblower at work creating some inimitable designs. At the end of the tour, you're given a small souvenir to commemorate the experience.
