What you can expect

Visit some of the best natural wonders that Northern Arizona has to offer, travelling in a small group of usually no more than 10 guests in a comfortable touring van. Drive from Sedona through Oak Creek Canyon, pass the dormant volcanoes of the San Francisco Peaks, and finally see the massive Grand Canyon on this full-day adventure. Stop at Sunset Crater National Monument and go for a stroll along the lunar landscape of the dormant volcanoes—this ground is where the Apollo astronauts famously practised for their Rover missions.

Next, head to Wupatki National Monument, and visit the well-preserved ruin site of this Sinagua Indian trading village. Based on the artefacts that have been found, it is believed the people that traded here came from as far away as South America.

Then, stop for lunch at the historic Cameron Trading Post. Head out and journey the final leg to the Grand Canyon with a scenic drive along the Little Colorado River Gorge—climbing to an altitude of approximately 7,500 feet (2286 m).

Upon entering the National Park, take in your first views of the Grand Canyon at Desert View and climb to the top of the Watchtower Observatory. As you drive along the rim of the Grand Canyon, you’ll stop at some of the most scenic and historic points between the South and East rims of the Grand Canyon.

The last point on the tour is at the Grand Canyon Village, where you have time to visit and shop at the many historic buildings and museums. You may even get a glimpse of the mules or California condors heading out of the Grand Canyon.

Departs Sedona Daily 7-7:30am and returns approximately 6:00-6:30 pm. (Duration 11 hours)

Departs Flagstaff Daily 8-8:30am and returns approximately 5-5:30pm. (Duration 9 hours)
