What you can expect

Get to know KwaZulu-Natal's largest city as a guide takes you to its most beautiful and significant spots. Walk along the gorgeous Golden Mile promenade, stop at the bustling markets of Warwick Triangle, and discover an amazing variety of plant life in the historic Durban Botanic Gardens.

Your tour begins with convenient pickup from your hotel, after which you're driven along the Golden Mile, Durban's stunning promenade. The path hugs the soft, beckoning sands of Durban's beaches and offers spectacular views of the ocean and city skyline on either side. Your guide takes you to a small craft harbour where you can see the neighbouring harbour, the eighth largest in the world. Drive on, passing the charming University of KwaZulu-Natal campus, and arrive at the bustling African and Indian markets of Warwick Triangle.

Warwick Triangle is home to 9 district markets centred on a large public transport interchange, where 6,000 street vendors shill their goods to the hundreds of thousands of commuters that pass through every day. Head next to the Durban Botanic Gardens, a serene and flourishing oasis of quiet in the middle of the city. Founded in 1849, the gardens are a treasure trove of trees and plants from places across the globe. After strolling through the gardens, visit the Moses Mabhida Stadium, a city icon, as the final stop of your tour.
