Led by an experienced chef and instructor, this two-hour class in the heart of Thamel, Kathmandu, guides participants through the art of crafting momos from scratch. Your journey begins with a warm welcome and a short orientation, where you'll be introduced to the rich history of momos and Nepalese cuisine. Next, enjoy a brief, guided tour of a nearby market, exploring local ingredients and spices essential to Nepalese cooking. Back at the academy, you’ll sip on a cup of authentic Nepali masala tea, setting the stage for a hands-on momo-making session. Under expert guidance, you’ll prepare dough, create flavourful fillings with vegetarian or chicken options, and master the unique folding techniques used to craft perfect momos. Once the momos are steamed, you’ll sit down to taste your creations, savouring the traditional flavours with a spicy tomato-based dipping sauce (achar).
