Your local guide will take you to Sensoji, where you will be able to learn the history of Buddhism and Shintoism in Japan. Here, take some more photos within the temple as well as the gardens and the famous Nakamise Street surrounding the temple.

Start Tokyo Kimono Photography Tour from Asakusa Once dressed by a professional, you’ll begin your photo adventure at the iconic Kaminarimon Gate of Senso-ji Temple, capturing stunning memories right from the start! Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate) was first built in 942 by Taira no Kimimasa, and was later rebuilt at its current location. It has been repeatedly destroyed by fire and rebuilt, and the current Kaminarimon was rebuilt in 1960 with a donation from Konosuke Matsushita. Its official name is “Fūraijinmon”. This name comes from the two statues that stand on either side of the gate, the thunder god and the wind god, and they protect Sensoji Temple from floods and fires.
