What you can expect

Kayaking here will also appeal to experienced paddlers. There is an amazing amount of diversity under the waves, and along the shoreline.

Paddle under steep cliffs and along small gravel beaches towards Cook’s Brook, where you may see Osprey, or Terns swooping and diving. Round the point under Our Lady Star of the Sea Church to paddle towards the City of Corner Brook.

The history and culture of this area is fascinating. Inshore fishing continues to be a mainstay for many families. The old government wharf was a welcome sight for families who relocated from Woods Island. They floated their homes across the bay and tied up to this very wharf. You will learn more about that when you embark on our Bay of Islands Zodiac Tour.
