Inca Jungle Trek. This trek offers hiking at a lower altitude than the Salkantay trek, and also includes mountain biking and optional activities such as canoeing and zip-lining. That sounded perfect, so we separated our trek with Dos Manos.

Day 1: DAY 1: Cusco - Abra Málaga - Huamanmarca - Santa María.

The trip to the Inca jungle starts very early with the pick up from the hotel between 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. To then embark on the route towards the sacred valley of the Incas, passing through Chinchero, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo. Where they will make a small stop to buy water or another that we need for the tour. Throughout the journey we will be able to appreciate beautiful landscapes until we reach the Abra Málaga located at (4,200 masl), arriving at approximately 11 am, where they will begin the descent on bicycles towards the jungle edge, passing through small towns, fruit fields, rivers and streams until reaching the town of Huamanmarca, where the descent with the bicycles will end, and then continue on the transport to the town of Santa María, where they will have a delicious lunch. After a short break they will thus start a new adventure; which is boating or rafting which includes the respective protection articles; helmets, vests, knee pads and life gloves, this section has III-IV difficulties (medium risk) with exciting rapids and with some turbulence but all supervised by our professional and experienced guides (certified in extreme sports), we will also be accompanied of a professional kayak. After this exciting adventure we will be transported to the town of Santa Rosa from where we will walk for about 20 minutes until we reach the El Grifo lodging where we will spend our first night surrounded by vegetation and beautiful landscapes. Non-boating travellers may overtake the group by moving to the same destination with an assistant guide.
Day 2: DAY 2: Santa María - Cocalmayo - Santa Teresa

The second day starts around 6:00 a.m. after enjoying a traditional breakfast they will start the walk that runs along part of the Traditional Inca Trail, this section is an experience not to be missed. Along the way we will be able to witness the diverse flora and fauna of the place, in addition to observing many species of birds and a wide range of orchids and fruit trees. Remember that this area of Cusco, the edge of the Amazon jungle, has one of the richest areas with biological diversity on the planet. After a refreshing lunch in the small village of Kellomayo, we will continue the route crossing waterfalls, streams, fruit and tuber plantations, until we reach the thermal baths of Santa Teresa (Cocalmayo) which is a resort of medicinal waters and therapeutic. After the relaxing bath we will continue with our walk 40 more minutes to the town of Santa Teresa where we will spend our second night, settling in a comfortable family accommodation. This night is used by the majority to enjoy a ‘pisco sour’ in some cosy Pubs in Santa Teresa, where we will establish long-lasting friendships with our group.
Day 3: DAY 3: Santa Teresa - Hydroelectric - Aguas Calientes

This day will be marked by the discovery and history that our professional guide will describe along the way. After a comfortable breakfast, you will have the opportunity to do the Zip line or canoping, temporarily separating from the group and then meet again and continue the tour. After having enjoyed the scenery and a short rest, you will descend towards the Hydroelectric, where our lunch awaits us and then continue with our walk enjoying the splendid waterfalls, coca and coffee plantations. continuing through the train route until you reach Machu Picchu, a town also known as Aguas Calientes and being able to settle in our Tourist Accommodation, which has all the necessary services such as a private bathroom, hot shower and wifi. It is also possible to enjoy the town's Thermal Baths for an additional price. (10) In the evening we will meet in a tourist restaurant where we will have the option to order a la carte and plan the visit of Machu Picchu the next day with the guide. There we will spend the last night at the foot of the Great Machu Picchu.
Day 4: DAY 4: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Ollantaytambo - Cusco

At dawn on the fourth day around 4:00 a.m. We will get ready to head to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu a way up through the jungle, thus having the opportunity to see the sunrise, after registering at the park control, 6:20 a.m. They will appreciate the sunrise while luck is with us, thus continuing the visit to our majestic Machu Picchu with our professional guide who will share their knowledge with us for approximately two hours and then we will have free time to tour and take souvenir photographic shots inside of the citadel. Tourists who managed to book their ticket on time will be able to go to Huayna Picchu "young mountain" the peak of the trip from where they will be able to enjoy and see the Inka citadel at its best. This tour could take an hour and a half which you will not regret the effort since the landscape is indescribable. It is worth mentioning that climbing the "stairs" is moderately dangerous and not recommended for people suffering from vertigo. In the afternoon they will descend walking to the town of Aguas Calientes where they can take advantage of the time to get to know the town and make the last purchases until the return time by Train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, where the transfer will embark them in the transport that will take them to the Cusco. Thus ending the tour of the famous Inca Jungle in the historic centre of Cusco (Plaza San Francisco)
