Outline itinerary of Island Peak Climb with Everest Base Camp Trek
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel- (1400m)
Day 2: Kathmandu to Lukla flight and trek to Phakding (2,652m) – 3/4 hrs
Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) – 6 hrs
Day 4: Acclimatisation day in Namche
Day 5: Trek to Tengboche (3,870m) - 5/6 hrs
Day 6: Trek to Dingboche (4,360m) – 6 hrs
Day 7: Another acclimatisation day
Day 8: Trek to Lobuche (4,940m) – 6 hrs
Day 9: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and then back to Gorakshep - 7/8 hrs
Day 10: Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m); then descend to Chhukung (4,410m) - 5/6 hrs
Day 11; Trek to Island Peak Base camp (4,970m) – 6 hrs
Day 12: Early morning climb to Island peak (6,189m). Then back to Chhukung – 10/11 hrs
Day 13: Trek to Tengboche (3,870m) - 6 hrs
Day 14: Trek to Namche (3440m) - 6 hrs
Day 15: Trek to Lukla (2850m) – 7/8 hrs
Day 16: Fly back to Kathmandu
Day 17: Departure. Drop you at the airport.
