The jam-packed day trip of Bho Hoong and Co Tu village is a journey that provides the unique opportunity to experience ethnic minority culture of Vietnam’s central highlands.
You will begin your day by cruising through the quaint villages of the Thu Bon river delta on your way to the ethnic minority Co Tu village of Bho Hoong. You will experience the village first hand and take part in a guided village walk with a local village resident before having a traditional Co Tu lunch and interesting local music performance.
After the village meal, you will make your way through lush tea plantations to another Co To town- Trung Mung, where you can visit the former king of the Co Tu people, Y Khong and his family. You can enjoy a delicious cup of café or tea, or (for the more adventurous), a nip of Co Tu rice wine! When sipping your drinks, you can enjoy the traditional wood carvings and other Co Tu cultural items.
Your returning journey to Hoi An is a scenic trip, via the wonderful Non Nuoc beach and Marble Mountain, which is a very significant site for Buddhists in Vietnam. A pagoda rests at the very top of the mountain and the ominously named Hell’s Cave sinks deep into the earth underneath. Before returning to Hoi An, you will take some time to explore the area.
