What you can expect

Journey through tree-covered mountains and lush green countryside to get a taste for Jamaica's history, culture, and cuisine. From Montego Bay, set off into the picturesque village of Johns Hall to meet the locals, browse the market, samples fresh produce, and dig into a traditional Caribbean lunch.

Following pickup in Montego Bay, enjoy a leisurely ride out of town into the verdant green country. As you drive, your friendly guide shares fascinating stories of the island, from its original Arawak Indians to the rich and vibrant culture of today.

You soon arrive in Johns Hall, where you're first greeted by the students at a primary school. Here, be welcomed by a sweet performance of melodic folk songs and cool down from the sun with some fresh coconut water and fruit.

Following the concert, enjoy time to take a nature walk, coming into contact with native flora like the pineapple plant and colourful animals such as peacocks. Once you've worked up an appetite, dig into a mouthwatering lunch of Caribbean classics including Jamaican jerk chicken, roasted yams, and ackee fruit with saltfish.

After another musical interlude, you're given plenty of time to peruse the local market for handcrafted goods on your own. Hunt for clothing, jewellery, trinkets, or rum to take home before making the relaxing drive back to Montego Bay.
