What you can expect

Tour Itinerary
Day One: Amman -Dead Sea - Dana
This tour starts in Amman, capital of Jordan, there you taste the local culture and history. You visit the Roman Theatre and the citadel, venture the old town and souks in Amman. Eat the local dessert “Kunafah”. Afternoon, descend to the Dead Sea and enjoy the curative salty water. Continue after to Dana Nature Reserve, one of the most awe-inspiring sections of a trek across Jordan, this route was recently mentioned by National Geographic as one of the world's best fifteen hikes. Tonight you stay in the heart of Dana Nature Reserve. Some of the money you pay on this tour goes to nature conservation.
At the end of the walk, you visit the ancient copper mining sights (1st & 2nd century AD).

Day Two: Dana- Feynan
Today's walk descends from the Mediterranean climate(1200 m) above the sea level to 100 m above sea level. Throughout this 16K walk, you will hike in a natural open flora museum. Wadi Dana is the most important geological aspect in the Dana nature reserve. Its great canyon joins the rift valley through the Feynan desert (mentioned in the Bible as Fyenan). This nature dates back for thousands of years as Feynan is the oldest sight for copper mining (4600 BC). It’s a very colourful day where you come across Bedouin families who still practice this mystical lifestyle and where you can see their scattered goat herds.

Day Three: Feynan - Ras Al- Faid
Into the foot of the mountains, today’s route will ascend steeply across rocks and small boulders through a twisty track, going high into the mountain. This section is challenging. We are rewarded with stunning views west into Wadi Araba. We will continue up over a high saddle, before descending to the river valley of Wadi Al-Forn following the goat track.
Evening activity: Bedouin coffee lesson on wood fire prepared and served by the Bedouins.

Day Four: Ras Al- Faid - Little Petra
Today's walk is descending throughout the masterpiece of nature’s creation, crossing the colourful sand dunes reaching little Petra where we're going to stay the night in a fixed campsite where flushing toilets and showers are provided.
Breakfast and lunch will be outside on our journey, but dinner will be at the campsite.
*Lunch will be served along the trek. (Upside-down 'hot dish- Magloubah).

Day Five: Little Petra - Petra
One of the most awe-inspiring sections of a trek across Jordan, this route was recently mentioned by National Geographic as one of the world's best fifteen hikes. The trail descends from the heights of the mountain plateaus to the Araba Valley and climbs back again, crossing several climate zones, diverse ecosystems hidden canyons, and dramatic labyrinths of hills and valleys displaying the full spectrum of the region’s geology.
