Why not step out of the city and join us for a day to visit the countryside and villages just a short drive away to learn about Madrid's wine and its history?
Even though Madrid as a Denominacion de Origen is relatively young (recognised in 1990) its winemaking history dates back centuries and has been influenced by numerous invasions and rulers.
We’ll visit two wineries and teach you about grape growing, and vinification methods. We’ll also explain the various climatic factors that make Madrid wines unique and the requirements needed to label a wine as D.O. Madrid.
Each visit will be followed by a tasting with some accompaniments and you’ll learn about the various methods used to conduct a proper tasting. We work with groups of four to seven to deliver a more personalised experience. We can also organise lunch at an extra cost.
Please note we ask people to book with 24 hours notice.
