Explore the French countryside and its various cities and town, and enjoy wine tasting and sightseeing on a full-day tour from Marseille.
Beginning in Marseille, the oldest city in France, pass by Vieux Port; the city's ancient old harbour. Continue on to the Abbey of St. Victor, named after a local soldier, saint, and martyr. You will then head up to the highest point in the city, Notre Dame de la Garde, which boasts a 360-degree panoramic view of Marseille.
Next make your way to Cassis, a commune and fishing port by a scenic road that winds up a mountain for views over the city and coastline. Admire its largest calanque (a steep-walled inlet) and walk on the docks. Keep driving to take in the view from the second highest cliff in Europe, at 1,312 feet (400 metres).
Stop for some wine tasting before taking the highway to the medieval hilltop village of Le Castellet. Then enjoy more wine tasting in Bandol. Afterwards, use your free time to enjoy lunch and walk along the seafront promenade. You may also take a ferry across the Bandor's Island before returning back to Marseille.
