This year again, a production featuring actors of the younger generation will grace Kyoto's spring season.
Both programmes open with greetings delivered by the cast. Following this, the “Pine Programme” will present “Mikasayama Palace,” a scene from the classic period drama “Imoseyama Onna Teikin” that depicts the romantic entanglements of its characters. Meanwhile, the “Cherry Programme” will showcase “At the Front of the Aburaya Brothel” and the “Inner Garden,” scenes from “Ise Ondo Koi no Netaba”, a storey based on an incident that occurred in the pleasure quarters of Ise. Finally, both programmes feature 'The Scandalous Love of Osome and Hisamatsu', commonly known as 'The Five Roles of Osome' in which the actor performs many quick changes of roles.
