Head towards a local market in the morning where you will be able to plunge into the vibrant morning atmosphere of the local people. You might even try some local specialities.

Continue the day by visiting the temple of Wat Chong Klang and Wat Chong Kham, both monasteries share the same compound.

Upon your arrival your attention will be drawn by the paintings depicting Buddhism and the simple life style of the villagers.

Further on you will notice, that there are over 30 wood carving dolls which were taken from Myanmar during the past century. Situated in front of the temples is a big natural pond called “Nong Chong Kham” whose surrounding area has been designed to be a public park.

We will then Continue on to “Wat Phra Thad Doi Kong Moo” which dominates the provincial city. Constructed by Phaya Singhanatracha, the first King of Mae Hong Son, the hilltop temple enables to admire the wonderful view of the city surrounded by the mountains and its valleys.
