Overview

After pickup from your Marrakech hotel, travel east in a minivan through rural Morocco to the Ouzoud Falls.

On arrival, walk through olive groves owned by generations of Berber farmers and descend to the gorge below the waterfalls. At the base, stroll by the river and marvel at the 3-tiered falls, which cascade into a pool. Take photos and, if you wish, enjoy a swim in the cool waters and an optional boat ride (own expense) close to the cascades to feel the spray.

Afterwards, step ashore and visit one of the cafes or restaurants overlooking the river for lunch (own expense). Finally, climb the steps back to the top. Pause on route to see the falls from various angles, watch for the rainbows in the mist, and meet and feed the monkeys that gather here.

Your trip then finishes with a drop-off back at your hotel.

Take a full-day tour of Ouzoud Waterfalls with a small group of up to 20 people or as a private group. Before departing for one of the most stunning waterfalls in North Africa, located 93 miles (150 km) north of Marrakesh. When you arrive at Ouzoud Village, enjoy views of the waterfalls reaching 360 feet (110 metres) high in the pool below. Your guide will take you on a walk through groves of olive trees, share information about the local Berber culture, and take you to visit a local argan oil cooperative. Then walk through a network of trails leading down with your guide. Enjoy a stop at a picturesque viewpoint where you can buy fresh orange juice, before boarding a traditional boat for a short ride on the pool below the falls. Lunch will be at a local restaurant overlooking the waterfalls and consists of a traditional Berber menu. After lunch, you will have 20 minutes of free time to take photos, enjoy the views, or explore the souvenir stalls.
