What you can expect

Embark on an adventure with secluded snorkelling sites as well as fantastic views of the Pali Sea cliffs. Depart from the beach amidst swaying palm trees and head for the remote and rugged shores and sea cliffs of an area known as the Pali.

This activity is best suited for those who enjoy a longer paddling trip and are in good physical condition. Launch from Papalaua Beach Park and as you kayak along the picturesque shore, marvel at sharp sea cliffs leading into the water. Get a glimpse of colourful eco-systems of stunning coral reefs and a vast array of fish ranging from cleaner wrasse to the famed Parrot fish.

As you paddle your kayak along rugged and remote sea cliffs for 4.5 miles (7 km), take in the quiet and secluded environment and enjoy exquisite snorkelling to see turtles and beautiful reefs. Along the way you may even see dolphins and rays. While not for everyone, this challenging tour offers a beach lunch as well as a little variety from the palm trees and sandy beaches.
