Located in the middle of the Crystal Palace Gardens, the Super Bock Arena - Rosa Mota Pavilion is a landmark building in the city of Porto, designed by José Carlos Loureiro, that has recently been renovated.
It was built in the fifties of the 20th century on the site where for more than 80 years there was a “Crystal Palace”, similar to those in London and Madrid.
We start with a historical exhibition that shows you how this hill was once a landmark for Atlantic navigations, the stage for the wars of kings, propaganda for the new state, sports and much more.
We go to a box that allows you to see the inside of the arena and better understand its distribution and the functioning of the room.
Finally, we climb 150 steps to the top of the dome and make a 360º turn to see the entire city. The guide will give a brief explanation of the buildings that we can see. And before the descent, we have a sweet surprise waiting for you.
