The Mexican Turtle Centre (Centro Mexicano de la Tortuga), a conservation centre dedicated to protecting sea turtles. Here, you can learn about the different species that inhabit the region and the ongoing efforts to preserve them. Closed Monday and Tuesday

Third stop: Zipolite
For lunch, enjoy some fresh seafood at one of the local beachfront restaurants, where you can savour regional dishes like ceviche or fish tacos while taking in the view of the ocean. Try the Local Cuisine Zipolite is home to a variety of beachfront cafes and restaurants that serve delicious Oaxacan food. Make sure to try tacos de pescado (fish tacos), tlayudas, and mole. Playa Mazunte, located along the Oaxacan coast in Mexico, is a peaceful and beautiful destination that blends nature, culture, and relaxation. 1. Visit the National Mexican Turtle Centre (Centro Mexicano de la Tortuga) Mazunte is known for its sea turtle conservation efforts. The turtle centre offers educational exhibits, and you can learn about different species of turtles, their life cycles, and the conservation work being done. Depending on the season, you might even get to witness baby turtles being released into the sea. Available Wednesday- Sunday. 2. Hike to Punta Cometa Punta Cometa is a stunning viewpoint just a short hike from Mazunte. From here, you’ll get incredible panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. It’s especially popular at sunset for the beautiful vistas. The hike is relatively easy and takes around 30 minutes.
