We start the day at 9 a.m. at your hotel, heading for one of Georgia's most famous troglodyte towns. An hour and a half later, we arrive at Uplistsikhe. Here, you can wander through the caves of this thousand-year-old town. At the end of the walk, we'll stop for lunch in a traditional local restaurant.
In the early afternoon, we have 2 options: visit the museum of the infamous Soviet dictator Stalin or just have a walk in its hometown including the fortress. The Museum showcase Stalin's Original house, and Stalin's railway carriage.
On the way back, we'll start by visiting the 6th-century Georgian Orthodox Jvari monastery, which dominates the region. The superb panoramic view will indicate our next destination.
To finish on a high note, we'll visit the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral in Mtskheta. This building is home to the majority of Georgia's kings. It is steeped in history. If you still have some strength left, we can take a stroll through the narrow streets of the old town which is listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO.
