Explore this incredible watery cave with a short jungle trek before entering one of the secretive portals to the underworld. Be prepared for some climbing and as you witness amazing cave formations, ancient Mayan artefacts and unique cave critters. At Xunantunich you will be hiking for a few minutes and climbing some of the structures as you learn some of the history of Xunantunich and the uses of the mysterious structures, as well as enjoy the panoramic views from the top of El Castillo and other perfect spots to capture the perfect shots of the Xunantunich.

  • All participants must provide name of hotel/resort to facilitate information/update to last minute changes to tour due but not limited to local weather, especially during the local rainy season (JUNE to end of NOVEMBER)
  • Please contact us (stleonardsbze@gmail.com) if any adult travelling with an infant(s) wishes to do this tour and may need to hire a baby sitter to come along for the cave part of the tour.
  • MINIMUN of 2 persons per tour is a must
  • Every participant MUST bring a complete change of clothes, his/her own gloves if required for cave exploration or any other special item he/she wishes to use in the cave or during the entire day tour.
