Save money and make the most of your time in Quebec City with an easy transfer to a local sugar shack. A sugar shack, or cabane à sucre in French, is where sap is collected from sugar maple trees and made into maple syrup.
Your tour begins with a warm welcome as you meet your guide in the centre of Old Quebec. Hop on board the shuttle for an approximately 25-minute journey. Arrive at the Blouin Sugar Shack on Ile d'Orleans where you will be able to enjoy superb views of the St. Lawrence River. Several musicians from Quebec folklore will be in the spotlight during this traditional meal of the maple season.
At Blouin, you will be able to ride a sleigh, tour the grounds, and sample maple taffy made in the snow. Savour an authentic sugar shack meal including ham, sausages, meat pie, maple syrup baked beans, scrambled eggs, pork rinds, potatoes, and pancakes (at own cost). Once your authentic sugar shack experience is over, climb back on board the bus to return to Quebec City.
