Ice fishing or pilkki (as it’s called in Finnish) is one of the most popular hobbies from the locals. On a beautiful, frozen lake you try to catch as much fish as possible. With snowshoes you walk a short distance to the lake. Your guide will explain how to drill a hole and how the fishing rods work. You may catch perch, whitefish, roach, pike or even grayling. If you caught fish, your guide will show you how to prepare the fish by an open fire. During the break you can also enjoy coffee, tea and a snack.
The activities are open departures and programme will be done if minimum 4 persons is joining. We will notify you at the latest by 3 p.m. the day before if the programme is cancelled.
