At SEA LIFE Konstanz you'll get unique insights into the mysterious underwater world! On your journey from Lake Constance to the Red Sea and the rainforest you'll see dazzling sea creatures from various regions of the world in different themed areas. After an extensive renovation phase the aquarium reopened in 2023 with the new highlight area “The Sea at Night” - in interactive area with mythical night atmosphere and a great variety of species. Discover the illuminated ray tank and the glowing tropical reef inhabited by tiny seahorses. Walk through the 8-metre acrylic glass tunnel that illustrates the colourful life of the Red Sea and get up close to fascinating animals like the blacktip reef shark.
SEA LIFE Konstanz invites you to a journey into the the breath-taking depths of the ocean, where you'll find yourself face to face with impressive rays and other dazzling sea creatures such as clownfish and many more. The journey follows the flow of the water from the source of the Rhine via the port of Rotterdam to the depths of the North Sea and on through the rainforest to the bone-chilling cold of Antarctica. Here, a special highlight awaits: ten lively gentoo penguins cavort between the glittering ice floes.
Don’t miss out on the daily feedings, where it can get wild. Find out what they rays' favourite food and what sharks like to eat. Our staff reveal many interesting facts and background information about our animals and their habitats during the live feedings. Afterwards, the Lake Constance Museum of Natural History invites all visitors on a trip into the nature around Lake Constance. It's located in the same building and admission is included in the SEA LIFE ticket. This informative exhibition displays the formation of Lake Constance and the various flora and fauna in and around the water.
