Spend the day exploring UNESCO World Heritage Sites like the largest cave temple in Sri Lanka, Dambulla, and the breathtaking Lion Rock Fortress, Sigiriya.
Start the tour from your hotel or accommodation where your guide will pick you up in an air-conditioned vehicle. After picking up the other participants the driver will head for Sigiriya.
Admire the Lion Rock Fortress as your first stop. Learn about the fortress constructed on the massive rock and the well-organized draining system built into the surrounding area.
Capture photos of the exterior of the structure before exploring inside the caves. Marvel at the ancient frescoes before continuing into the lion's feet. Climb 1300 steps to the top of the fortress. Take a moment to enjoy the view and take more photos.
After the Lion Rock Fortress, participate in a tour of Sigiriya Village to experience life in the village and enjoy an authentic lunch made fresh in front of you. Taste some locally grown fruit and relax for a bit before continuing the tour.
Join a safari tour that will pass through three national parks. The area is known for large groups of elephants and your guide will point out all the wild animals and birds you pass.
Lastly, return to Colombo and visit Dambulla Cave Temple to explore the largest cave complex in Sri Lanka. Admire the remarkable Buddha statues and frescoes painted in various colours in the caves. Get dropped back to your hotel at the end of the tour.
