What you can expect

Learn what it takes to be an astronaut on this 1.5 to 2-hour Private Tour, just you and your dashing, enthusiastic local guide. The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum covers everything from the early history of flight to the Space Race and moon landings.

From the Apollo 11 Command Module to real moon rocks, the National Air and Space Museum has some of the most out-of-this-world artefacts. Talk about Buzz Aldrin when you examine his space suit as well as moon boots and models of the International Space Station. You’ll see earlier examples of planes like the Wright Brother’s aircraft and the Spirit of St. Louis. Discover the history of the world’s leading air and space programme including the innovation and technology that made it possible to land a man on the moon. There’s even freeze-dried ice cream in the gift shop to complete the experience.

We’re more than just storytellers. Our young, passionate, and engaging guides approach touring in a different way. They will bring a personal touch to each tour, adding their own favourite anecdotes and tips along the way. They are there to listen to you, to answer your questions, and to create a dialogue – unlike other tours where they just lecture you as you go along. That’s the whole reason why we specialise in private and semi-private tours exclusively, to make sure you get the most possible out of your experience.
