Saeva Dupka Cave is considered one of the most beautiful caves in Bulgaria. The largest stalacton in it has a circumference of 60 metres. The average temperature in the cave is 7 - 11 °C, humidity - between 90 and 98%. It is located at 520 m above sea level. It is 205 metres long, and a river flows 70 metres underground. It is believed to be about 3 million years old.
Prohodna is a cave corridor - a spectacular rock bridge, the direction of which is oriented from east to west. It was formed at the end of the Cretaceous period 66-68 million years ago. In the past, the waters of the river Iskar filled the cave. Now the level of the river is below the level of the cave. Due to the active karst processes characteristic of this period, seismic activity and river activity, the cave karst corridor was interrupted and this part remains separated.
The Zlatna Panega River originates from Bulgaria's largest karst spring “Glava Panega” (4000 l/s), located in the southeastern part of the village of Zlatna Panega, at 188 m above sea level.
